The Alumni Club of Pittsburgh has been able to secure discounted tickets to A Literary Evening with Jesmyn Ward at Carnegie Music Hall on Monday, February 9. Having lost five young men dear to her between 2000 and 2004, Jesmyn Ward delivers an emotional memoir, Men We Reaped, which asks us to examine the loss of young black men in communities across America.

Jesmyn Ward took the National Book Award in fiction for 2011 with her novel Salvage the Bones, and her 2013 memoir Men We Reaped was shortlisted for a National Book Critics Circle Award.
